Functional group training is a great way to get involved in exercise with like minded people. Our environment is comfortable, supportive and non-intimidating. Our clients are of many ages, fitness levels and striving to achieve various health goals.

Every class is instructed and coached by our highly qualified staff.  We instruct, teach and educate our clients about exercising safely and correctly and the reasons behind the exercise prescription we deliver at Fun Fast Fitness.

At Fun Fast Fitness there are no egos! We promise to remain intimidation free and maintain an inviting environment committed to delivering an exercise standard like no other gym in the Hawkesbury region.

Women Only Functional Group Training

The women’s only functional group classes offers a comfortable environment for our female clients to work closely with our fitness professionals. This unique environment promotes health and fitness results for our female clients as well as improving confidence and self-esteem and development of friendship and social connections to exercise.

The functional group classes cater for all levels and abilities with our program design allowing for individuals to work within their own limits and achieve improvements at their own pace.

Functional Group Training

The unisex functional group training offers an environment where males, females and adolescents can train together comfortably. This allows partners, family members and friends to train together in a supervised class format. Our unisex classes are very popular particularly for males wanting to get back into exercise and not feel intimidated by the normal gym stigma. Our coaches ensure you move safely, correctly and ease back into exercise at an appropriate pace.

What Is Functional Group Training?

Functional group training applies primal patterns into exercise movements manipulating loading, speed, volume and intensity. This particular type of training assists to help you move more efficiently when performing  primal movement patterns in everyday activities such as carrying the groceries.

There are 7 primal movement patterns that we focus on;

  • Squat
  • Bend
  • Lunge
  • Push
  • Pull
  • Twist
  • Gait

All of the programming at Fun Fast Fitness is based on evidence based exercise. This means that all of our exercise prescribed to our clients is researched and proven effective in obtaining improvements in health. These improvements include and target;

  • Muscle and bone strength
  • Stability and balance
  • Coordination
  • Power
  • Endurance
  • Mobility
  • Flexibility
  • Weight management

Training in a group environment is proven to promote better exercise adherence. Group environments offer support, motivation and qualified supervision.

At Fun Fast Fitness our classes are capped at 12 participants to ensure our trainers can instruct and cater for the various levels of fitness levels in our classes. Our clients safety is imperative to us at all times. Our smaller classes also offers familiarity amongst clients and trainers forming a close knit community feel.
